Meet Phil
I began working at ACR right out of college and figured I would be here maybe a year -- 22+ years later, I'm still here and loving it. I started out working direct care in an ACR home, there I became an assistant supervisor for 2 1/2 years. After that I became a Program Director overseeing several ACR homes. After a few years I was then offered a position in the recruiting department where I've been ever since. I am currently the Recruitment Director at ACR Homes.
When I was first approached about recruiting, I was hesitant; I viewed it as "sales" -- not something I was particularly interested in. But I quickly realized that as a recruiter for ACR I am not "selling" anything, but rather sharing what ACR has to offer. ACR is truly making a difference in the lives of people who have disabilities. What's so wonderful is that not only are we able to play a role in the lives of ACR's residents, but they have a huge impact on ours as well.
