We’re excited to invite you to an enjoyable and interactive Scavenger Hunt at the Minnesota State Fair! This is a great chance to explore the fairgrounds, enjoy its attractions, and make lasting memories with our residents.

Scavenger Hunt Details:

Instructions:

  1. Complete Challenges: Capture photos of yourself with your resident with at least 3 items from the list below during your visit to the fair. (more info on prizes below)
  2. Check Off: Mark off the items as you find them.
  3. Submit: Email your photos to austin.morrow@acrhomes.com by September 3, 2024, for review.

Scavenger Hunt List:

  1. Giant Ferris Wheel: Snap a photo with the Giant Ferris Wheel in the background.
  2. Giant Slide: Get a picture with the iconic Giant Slide.
  3. Fair Food Favorite: Find a popular State Fair food item (e.g., Pronto Pup, Mini Donuts) and take a photo with it.
  4. Butter Sculpture: Visit the Dairy Building and photograph yourselves with one of the butter sculptures.
  5. Animal Encounters: Visit the barns and take a photo with a pig, cow, or goat.
  6. Local Art: Discover and photograph yourselves with a piece of local artwork or craft at one of the fair’s art or craft booths.
  7. Live Entertainment: Capture a photo with performers or the stage at a live show.
  8. Fair Mascot: Find Fairchild, the fair mascot, and get a photo with him.
  9. Gardens & Flowers: Visit the Horticulture Building and photograph yourselves with a unique flower or plant.
  10. Unique Merchandise: Find and photograph yourselves with an unusual piece of State Fair merchandise.
  11. ACR Staff’s State Fair Submissions:
    • Mary Alter’s Cookies (Accounts Receivable) in the Creative Activities Building
    • Let us know if you also have a state fair submission to be highlighted! 😊
  12. Parade Float: If available, take a photo with a parade float.
  13. Cultural Experience: Visit a cultural booth or exhibit and snap a photo related to the experience.
  14. Funny Sign: Find a humorous or quirky sign and take a picture with it.
  15. DNR Building: Take a photo at the Minnesota DNR Building.

How to Share Your Photos:

  • Post your photos on Instagram or Facebook using the hashtag #ACRHomesMNStateFairFun.
  • Before posting, please check with me to ensure that your resident has consented to social media postings!

Additional Notes:

  • Make sure all photos are clear and identifiable.
  • Respect all fair rules and regulations.
  • Most importantly, have fun with your residents and enjoy your time at the fair!

Prize: Enter a drawing to win a $100 gift card! The winner will be announced on Wednesday, September 4, 2024.
